We have big plans for mobile at Help Scout and are hiring a Mobile Engineer to help the team craft a wonderful experience for customers. Our first project is focused on iOS and we’re leveraging the RubyMotion framework. You’ll be joining one other full-time engineer on the project and building something used by over 4,000 (and growing!) companies around the world.
About the Role
- Our engineering team now has about fourteen people, but only one of them is working full-time on the mobile app. The two of you will be working hard to to finish all the requirements for version 1.0 and deliver a great product to customers.
- A separate group of engineers is working on all the API endpoints, so your work is primarily focused on the front-end implementation and design details. You’ll also be getting everything you need from the design team with regard to visual design and interactions.
- Our experience skews heavily toward web development. We’re looking for someone that’s been working on mobile full-time and can provide expertise/guidance with iOS/Objective-C specifically. You’ll be involved in every decision we make regarding implementation and testing.
- You’ll work with customers and QA testers to make the mobile app launch a huge success for the business. Post-launch, you’ll work on adding new features, optimizing for other devices and improving the product.
